KOBI NBC 5 - 4 on 4

More Info

Description: Tune in to KOBI NBC 5 on April 4th at 4 pm to see Executive Director, Marlene Mish, speak to the hope that we have about impact child abuse both statewide and locally. April 4th is The Day of Hope and what better way to tie that into April as Child Abuse Prevention Month than to speak to the issue on The Day of Hope. Marlene will interpret the newest statistics and give the community the vision of a different future for our children.

Yogurt Hut

Description: All day, Yogurt Hut in Medford will be donating 10% of its proceeds to the CAC. Please support our local business and friends by stopping by and enjoying a great yogurt and support the CAC at the same time.

Celebrating Hope - A special event to culminate Child Abuse Awareness Month

More Info

Description: Come join us for this elegant and joyful afternoon to celebrate the artists of the CAC and to introduce their first art book, Stumbling onto Truth. Artists will be present for a book signing. The $10 entrance fee pays for one glass of wine and delicious appetizers. The sale of the book is only $20 and all proceeds will go back into our art program for future art programs.

Location: Ashland Springs Hotel from 2pm to 5pm

Responding to Allegations of Child Maltreatment

Description: In this intensive two-day workshop, community members will learn all about the legal and social systems that are in place in our community to responding correctly to child abuse. Participants will also learn about all services provided by the CAC and the role it plays in our Multidisciplinary Approach to this issue. Hear from the people who do this work. Understand why we have the protocols we do and how they help our child victims to heal. Most people have said this is the most intensive, substantive workshop on child abuse in the Rogue Valley.

Location: CAC Board Room, Sept 18 - 19 from 8:30am to 4pm

Additional Info: Training is free to the public. Lunch and snacks are provided free of charge by the CAC. Seating is limited to 25 participants. Contact Alexis at amckenna@cacjc.org to register.

Facilitators Certification Training for Steward of Children

Description: In this one-day intensive training, participant will be trained and certified to be facilitators of Stewards of Children, our child sex abuse prevention program. The cost for the certification is $350 and paid directly to Darkness to Light, www.d2l.org. This pays for the training, trainer and the numerous materials. If you are interested in bringing this training to our community and joining our team of trainers that want to stop child sex abuse, this is a profound experience and training.

Location: CAC Board Room from 8am to 5:30pm

Cherish a Child Luncheon

Description: The event with the most heart of the year. Cherish a Child is a table captain style luncheon which introduces the community to what we do, how we do it and why we do things the way we do. It is always a very special event.

Description: Greeters will be held at the CAC with a continental breakfast. Chamber members will have an opportunity to tour the Center after the program.
